As a community based business, we at McKee’s enjoy being a positive influence in the local community.  We do our best in supporting local schools, the local Tendoy district of the Boy Scouts of America, and community programs such as Relay for Life.  McKee’s also offers the benefit of educational field trips for anyone interested in visiting and learning more about the pets here at McKee’s.  Throughout the spring and summer we provide different presentations about planting and gardening, helping you to be more successful in your own yard and garden.  During the winter holidays our traditional, live animal nativities are another way we enjoy participating in the spirit of the season in our community.
     We work with the Humane Society and Animal Shelter.  We also help in providing the opportunity for “pet therapy” with various rest homes and veteran facilities.  This provides some friendly interaction between the residents and the pets and brings smiles to many faces.  And speaking of smiles, children (and adults) just love our Free Petting Zoo.  The Petting Zoo is open year round, but spring is our busiest time of the year as we welcome the many new arrivals.  You’re especially invited to come and visit the Petting Zoo during this time of year and see all the new babies.  Your entire family will love it!
